Blacksmith Course
I offer a one-day Blacksmith course, usually on a Saturday, in my forge
at Sandbed. The forge is located in a 200 year old barn surrounded by Cumbrian
fells. Indeed the Howgills rise directly from the forge.
The course offers hands-on experience during which time participants construct
a piece of forged wrought iron work. All necessary tools are provided as
is morning coffeee, buffet lunch and afternoon tea. The only items participants
need to provide are strong shoes and old clothes.
Courses
normally run from 9am to 5.00pm but times are flexible to suit participants. The fee for a one day course is £85. A deposit of £20 is payable
in advance but the balance can be paid on the day. Courses are limited to a small number of participants in order to maximise
the hands-on experience. This ensures individual attention and a warm and
friendly experience.
